Service Reset Menu Q's

Changed the oil the first time myself this weekend, and am looking for some insight on the service menu from the collective knowledge of the forum. I did search but couldn't find this stuff.

2016 E350, after selecting ASSYST PLUS --> FULL SERVICE -->

We see the choices:
SERVICE 1
SERVICE 2
SERVICE 20
CONF. FULL SERV.

All the instructions/videos I see say select full service, so that's what I did. Now I see "Service B7 due in 365 days 10000 miles"

Questions:
+ What are the SERVICE 1, SERVICE 2, and SERVICE 20 options?
+ What are the details of what should be performed for a SERVICE 1, 2, 20?
+ What is a B7 service, i.e. what all does that service entail?
+ Where can we find a list of all the service specifics (A1, B2, A3, ... or whatever/however the nomenclature system works)

Hoping folks who know some of these details can chime in and/or post information or links to the information for the collective forum knowledge.

Thanks all!

They are called service scopes, IIRC. The following came from the W204 forum, but it doesn't appear it would exactly line up. Although my car lists A5 as the next service and the codes line up for me based on the maintenance sheet.
  • Service 1: Minor basic service (Service A)
  • Service 2: Major basic service (Service B)
  • Service 3: Engine oil + filter
  • Service 4: Brake fluid
  • Service 5: Combination filter
  • Service 6: Dust filter (included in Service B)
  • Service 7: Activated charcoal filter
  • Service 8: Air filter
  • Service 9: Tilting/Sliding roof
  • Service 10: Panoramic sliding roof
  • Service 11: fuel filter
  • Service 12: spark plugs
  • Service 13: coolant
  • Service 14: main coolant circuit
  • Service 15: trailer hitch
  • Service 16: parking brake
  • Service 17: emergency call system
  • Service 18: brake algorithm
  • Service 19: diesel particulate filter
  • Service 20: automatic transmission oil and filter

Did you reset the service indicator?

There's another set of codes under the ASSYST PLUS menu labeled Workshop Code & Service Code. Those two parameter are entered into Star Diag, WIS/MSS to create a tailored service sheet for the car.

As far as the menu:
SERVICE 1

SERVICE 2
SERVICE 20
CONF. FULL SERV.

I believe you can confirm individual services are complete is not performing all of them or "Full Serv" that ALL were done.

Here is what mine says at 44k miles, saying 5k to go before 50k (Car says A5 due). Looking at the service sheet for the 2016 E, these numbers seem to match what I posted above.

1 - A service
3 - Oil/Filter
4 - Brake Fluid
8 - Air filter
12 - Spark plugs

5 items.

I'm getting the "service in XX days" notice. I need to reset the counter, since I've driven only 1,800 miles since the last reset a year ago, and I'm not changing oil/filter on less than 2,000 miles. My Mobil 1 0w40 will have to wait til the fall, at minimum.

'11 E350 currently reads:

Service 2
Service 3
Workshop Code: 606
Service Code: B

When you put in the current Mileage, Workshop and Service Codes you get (4) service sheets to choose from:
  • Service Sheet for Service B (countries with low dust levels)
  • Service Sheet for Service B (countries with high dust levels)
  • Service Sheet for Service B w/ Plus Package (countries with low dust levels)
  • Service Sheet for Service B w/ Plus Package (countries with high dust levels)
With a tailored service sheet like this:

I reset my service monitor today, but as I remind myself each year, the procedure to enter the correct menu is not as simple as noted so far. Here is the actual instructions, via the "Trip" menu in the MFD... It works on my 2016 (facelift) model. YMMV on older W212s.
