Airmatic to coilover on w212 e550

Good morning guys. I just want to start off by saying im new to this forum. I currently own a 2011 E550 (w212) sedan with airmatic suspension. Well not too long ago my suspension gave out. Front passanger and rear passanger. Instead of keeping the airmatic suspension I bought Silvers Neo Max coilover kit and the rear lower control arms for the E350. The fronts are insatlled and now im having issues with the installation of the rear. Can anyone help? The shop i took it to stated that when they install the rear spring that it does not connect with the upper bracket thus leaving a gap. Can anyone help me figure out whats wrong? Or has anyone on here done a coversion on the w212 E class model?

I'd suspect the upper perch is different for an airmatic vs. coil W212. I guessing the kit was NOT for an airmatic car...

Can I swap the upper perch if that's the case? Maybe they sent me the wrong coilovers like you said. According to them (silvers NA) it should of just went in no issues but yeah maybe they did sent me the wrong one.

Well, not right in as you needed to buy a E350 lower control arm... for the same reason that it is different due to the airmatic spring. A later MY E550 lower control arm I suspect, would have worked as well since coils were standard and airmatic was optional vs. earlier when airmatic was standard.

The perch is welded to the chassis... maybe there's "fitting" or adapter MB used for coils instead of having to weld different perch on the cars.

This may be what's needed, parts #90 and #100 (based off 2014 E550 w/ standard coil suspension)

I did buy the lower control arms for the rear which was for a 2014 E550. Thanks for the information I really appreciate it I'll talk to the owner of the shop today and hopefully it goes well after that. All I need is the rear and I'm all set 👌🏽
