Radio has no power after alternator replaced
Hi All,
I have a 2011 E350 BlueTec. I just replaced my alternator and now my radio has no power, but everything else works as it should. I've searched the forum and tried pushing the "ON" button for 20 seconds and it didn't work. I also tried pulling fuses 11, 26, 67, 69, and 84 for about 20 minutes and that didn't work either. Do I need to take the car to the dealer to have it reprogrammed after replacing the alternator? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

When you say the radio doesn't work... do you mean the screen does not come on and boot with the Mercedes Star?
Did you confirm the fuses are good? I believe the command unit is F26 (20A) and the screen is F11 (7.5A). Also check for power on both sides with the fuse installed (key ON). Was the main battery disconnected when you replaced the alternator? If not, you can potentially get arching if the cable terminal touches the block, which can potentially cause some electrical damage.
Anything else not working?
I would verify the fuses and check for power on both sides, start with the basics.

These cars have sound modules sensitive to the power supply reaching 16Volts. Luckily the main ECU does not seem to be one of them.
Try not use CTEK "AGM" option for connected in car batteries. Regular mode is perfectly adequate.
