Differences between the M276 DE35 and the M276 DELA 35?

Are there any differences in the DELA 35 (3.5L TT V6) than the DE35 (3.5L NA V6)? Both heads and blocks are both aluminum, with the same stroke and bore, etc.

Surely are... not a NA M276 with a set of turbos slapped on it.

The 3.5 M276 with turbos is not what was sold in the states. It was the 3.0 liter. Supposedly other markets got the 3.5TT, but I have never actually seen proof of that. The Engines in the 400/450/43 in the states were all M276 DELA 30

Any engine with 35 in the number is a 3.5l V6 naturally aspirated for all markets. Non-US markets got stratified charge with EGR, secondary air and particulate filter. US engines are homogenous charge, no EGR, no secondary air and no particulate filter.

Any engine with 30 in the number is a 3.0l V6 twin turbo for all markets. To my knowledge there was only one version of the 3.0l TT.

I wish😂! The only difference I’ve been able to find is the compression. Apparently the Foreign market had more filtering and EGR, which is where the 3.5L tt was produced

What about the 3.5L tt? apparently it’s used in place of the 3.0L tt with less boost in some foreign markets.

Maybe your question should be a little more specific…. What are you trying to accomplish?

My apologies.
I’m just curious to the internal differences between the two engines. Basically, what’s different in the internal components of the engine besides the two turbos? Could you throw two turbos on a NA M276 DE35 and have a DELA35 essentially?
Obviously not, but if anyone has both of the manuals to showcase the differences I would appreciate it.

There was one or two articles with erroneous information when the turbo version of the engine was released, and like a tweet or an AP story, they have been repeated as fact for years since. I would be interested in finding one such example, as it wouldn't make sense for mercedes to make such a rare one-off version of a rather mundane engine. I remember the article you're referencing, it was way off on boost too, reporting 1.8 bar (~26 PSI) instead of the 0.8 bar (~11psi) that the E400 came with originally (450 and then 43 were closer to 1.1 bar stock). I doubt there are even any tuned versions of the E43 that are approaching 1.8 bar on stock turbos.

I have an E400 W213 DELA 35. I got it from Japan. I tuned it stage 1 and got about 400 whp. Sadly couldn't dyno run it correctly because there is a limiter on it (220km/h). If you send me your Email i can send you a couple of things here and there.
