Got the wrong brake pads from rockauto.
So I ordered front rotors and pads and my mechanic said they were the wrong fit. I entered all the information correctly. 2014 AWD 3.5L. He said the brake pads were different shape. I bought the car used and it came with AMG wheels. Could it be possible that the car has performance brakes as well? The caliper does not say AMG. Any help in determining how to get the correct part would be appreciated.

Typical.
Amazon send me wrong parts once and replaced them with the same.
That is why I prefer to buy parts from suppliers who take you VIN for fit confirmation and guarantee proper fit, aka return shipping on their dime.

Don't buy from Rock Auto. There are lots of venders that specialize in Mercedes parts and some with lifetime warranties as well. Like FCP Euro. They warranty consumables for life. Rock Auto is good for sourcing $2 wiper blades for vintage cars.

Every Benz product is customized with many specific options and every part number was superceded a couple times by newer numbers.
It can be confusing

It'd be interesting to head to FCP and compare the pads they offer for your car with the ones you received. If they're the same, then contact them and see what they say. FCP's customer service is pretty top notch.

Good luck on returning those pads and getting a full refund for their error.
I had a very negative experience with Rock Auto. Purchased a coil pack for the V12 TT. Rock Auto had quite a few cross-reference part numbers in their system for the coil pack, one of which was wrong. Of course, that wrong cross-reference number was what they sent me (a coil pack for an I-6 older MB engine, not even remotely related to the M275). So I went through their online system to return it, but to get free return shipping, I had to opt for a replacement, not a refund. Sent it back, got a new one. Same wrong part. Rather than going through this endless loop, I had to get a refund, which forced me to pay for the return shipping. While it wasn't a huge amount, it sure was a significant annoyance that I had to pay for their system error. Because there's no way to break loop if you want a free return. Good luck trying to find an email address or phone number to call when you have a problem, because it doesn't exist. Customer service, where you talk/email to a person, doesn't exist. They force you to use their automated system, which is flawed because there's no way to note when it's their cross-reference fault, not yours (note; it appears that they've now posted a phone number on their website, it was never there before when I had my issue).
Nonetheless, I'm betting the reason you have an issue is because they have a bad cross-reference in their system, and that's what they sent you. I wish you luck as you will most likely not get 100% of your money back.
....yes, I dislike RockAuto....

For brake rotors and pads why would you shop anyplace other than Brembo on-line? I just ordered and installed Brembo drilled rotos, Brembo low-metalic pads with Brembo wear sensors for my 2015 W212 4MATIC wagon. They fit and work perfectly and they were $300 shipped. Brembo rotors are the best and in this application I chose the semi-metalic pads because properly bedded they work much better hot and tend not to leave material deposits on the rotors leading to hard spots and uneven rotor wear which is the real cause of brake vibrations not "warping" and is commonly believed. Sure they dust much more but if you wash your car who cares?

I've been buying MB parts on line long before specialist MB suppliers opened their sites.
Autohousaz.com have been in businesses for very long time and with excelent reputation. They no longer offer free shipping, but have choice of parts for very good prices.
Actually they have OE MB parts than no other sited have..... occasionally.
Bonus - I could buy parts for my Ford at the same site.

When I am buying OE Mercedes parts, I am buying from Mercedes dealer period.
Husker dealer "happen" to beat in prices most of the suppliers you mentioned.
But sometimes you want to see alternatives. When I was changing headgasket on 27 years old W124, I decided to replace old radiator hose as well.
OE turned out to be $200, what was about 10% of car value. Autohousaz displayed me 4 or 5 choices on single page and I choose aftermarket.
