In Cabin Fuse Box 2015 W212
I have a 2015 (W212) MB E400, Australian delivery, so RHD.
I'm trying to set up a dash cam and according to the documentation available there is suppose to be a fuse box located at the ends on the dashboard, I've pop both end panels off, and there is no fuse box.
I know there is one in the boot (trunk) and the one in the engine compartment, but is there a third fuse box inside the cabin ?????
Thanks in advance.

They are many ways to skin a cat... if I were you, I'd simply piggy back on the overhead control panel or the cig-lighter outlet.
Your Front SAM is way much more than a "fusebox"... You never want to have to deal with SAMs unless you are forced to take actions.
Leave it alone knowing the SAM fuse contacts are not the strongest type to put up with a splice tugging on a fuse. It can be done super cautiously.
While we are talking about F-SAM, it is a sleepless computer that manages the power states for ALL the other modules.
The fastest way to scare gremlins out of your car is by giving SAMs a brake >>> float your battery then reboot your car.

And no I didn't want the hassle of connecting into the fuse box in the engine compartment, so I stay away from that.

I know some smart cameras have a built-in circuit that cut-off power at some preset voltage... I have a dashcam that has it's own built-in battery that takes care of power during parking periods.
The last thing your car needs is aggravating the low battery condition! To the contrary most of these cars with funky remote managed alternator need regular * F L O A T * sessions to offset unstable CAN systems.

Dashcam, you best take from cigarette lighter and dont mess with other fuses.
However, cig lighter is OFF when key removed. If you intend to have parking guard feature of the webcam and need 24/7 power ...hhmmm, a different story then.
If you want 24/7 power :
Give me a day or 2, I shall dig out what fuses in front SAM not being used ( there are a few ), but has INPUT side active/powered and is an always ON circuit aka circuit 30.

. . . lucky too 🎄
