Hi All,
I have a 2015 (W212) MB E400, Australian delivery, so RHD.
I'm trying to set up a dash cam and according to the documentation available there is suppose to be a fuse box located at the ends on the dashboard, I've pop both end panels off, and there is no fuse box.
I know there is one in the boot (trunk) and the one in the engine compartment, but is there a third fuse box inside the cabin ?????
Thanks in advance.

What kind of dashcam you like, I am looking for a stealthy type.
They are many ways to skin a cat... if I were you, I'd simply piggy back on the overhead control panel or the cig-lighter outlet.
Your Front SAM is way much more than a "fusebox"... You never want to have to deal with SAMs unless you are forced to take actions.
Leave it alone knowing the SAM fuse contacts are not the strongest type to put up with a splice tugging on a fuse. It can be done super cautiously.
While we are talking about F-SAM, it is a sleepless computer that manages the power states for ALL the other modules.
The fastest way to scare gremlins out of your car is by giving SAMs a brake >>> float your battery then reboot your car.

.The NanoCam+ Dash Cam and wiring kit, it comes with a fuse piggyback assembly - so I was just looking to tap into an existing fused circuit that has active power, since the dash cam has 'knock' and other features when the car it parked.
And no I didn't want the hassle of connecting into the fuse box in the engine compartment, so I stay away from that.

If your camera calls for full time unswitched power take the liberty to give it only IGN-ON power.
I know some smart cameras have a built-in circuit that cut-off power at some preset voltage... I have a dashcam that has it's own built-in battery that takes care of power during parking periods.
The last thing your car needs is aggravating the low battery condition! To the contrary most of these cars with funky remote managed alternator need regular * F L O A T * sessions to offset unstable CAN systems.

NO .... facelift model only has front SAM ( engine bay, driver side for you RHD ) and rear SAM at boot/trunk also driver side. SAM is also a fuse box but has computer boards inside too.Originally Posted by adrians

Dashcam, you best take from cigarette lighter and dont mess with other fuses.
However, cig lighter is OFF when key removed. If you intend to have parking guard feature of the webcam and need 24/7 power ...hhmmm, a different story then.
If you want 24/7 power :
Give me a day or 2, I shall dig out what fuses in front SAM not being used ( there are a few ), but has INPUT side active/powered and is an always ON circuit aka circuit 30.

I hardwired 2 dash cams (2 separate Garmin units, one for the front, one for the back) using the add-a-fuse and the fuse box in the trunk. I was able to find an empty slot that was constant power, and then piggybacked onto the fuse for the rear power outlet for switched power. It's been a couple months and have had no problems or battery issues.
