New to forums so go easy lol
I have just purchased a 2011 Mercedes e350 and it command unit keeps switching on and off with the message ,please start engine or command will switch off ,it's doing my head in 😡
I've seen that another member had the same issue and I'm wondering where the fuse that he changed is located ,by the way I'm based in N.ireland so right hand drive
Thanks in advance

Hi @philmcd831 and welcome to MBWorld! Please post a photo of your E-Class when you get the time. Re your issue, I do recall reading about this as a battery issue, either the battery is flat or needs replacing. Can’t find the actual thread, sorry. All the best with it 👍

Is the engine running when this happens? One of the "features" to preserve the battery is shutting down comfort-related items if battery voltage start dipping low.
I would start by fully charging the main battery, disconnecting it for 10 minutes, reconnecting and checking for the error. Should be mandatory, if working on these cars, invest in a scanner that can read MB-specific codes. You'll want to read and record any after reconnecting the battery and then clear them. See which ones come back and post them.
