Hi, I have a code from iCarsoft v3.0 for my 2010 E350. How can I make sure it is a broken flap of the intake manifold or other issues such as faulty oil pressure senor? Appreciate for any help or advice. Thanks.

The tumble flap mechanism is visible (external linkage part) on the front of the intake manifold... so you can verify if it broken. Usually the triangular pivot is what breaks:

Codes related to tumble flap mechanism can also be generated if its "sticky" and not necessarily broken. You should be able to freely push the horizontal linkages (they move left/right) and they'll spring back.

Thanks m3. Do you think the broken part could be seen by a probe camera so as to save time to pop the whole thing out?

Normally when you have a stuck flap, you replace the entire intake manifold instead of just repairing the lever. What will eventually happen is that oil will continue to gum up the flaps and eventually it breaks off and falls into the engine causing engine damage. You should also replace the oil separator and oil breather cover when replacing the intake manifold. You can get the Pierburg from FCPEuro for about $650 and you'll need the gaskets and fuel injector O rings also. There's many youtube videos on how to replace the intake on the M272. It's just one of the known problems with the M272.

Same code comes again after clearing.
Question: why the code description says only cylinder bank 1 has malfunction, but not all cylinders have such if the flap have problem ?

You're reading too much into it. It basically means the flaps get stuck. Doesn't matter which cylinder or how many. It means it's time to replace the manifold if you don't want the flaps breaking and falling into the engine and causing damage. But that will probably take a while as the flaps get harder and harder to move.

I had a valve cover leak. The flaps doe not appear to be broken but exhaust makes a muffled sound.

Best way to clean? I see build up

I have CRC electronic cleaner. Any suggestions?
