complete replacement housings
There are a couple brands (Amazon, AliEx) that sell dashcams custom integrated for our MBenz.
Thing is I believe they lack support for rear cam recording - I could be wrong or haven't found the right item.
Do you know of a better dash-cam solution?
How long have you enjoyed your '14-E550?

Thank you Juan, the above unit is good but it looks like it's missing a rear cam. This is where I left it unable to get a rear cam for 2x pricing...
Now I see these better selections with dual cams:

you'll need to route that rear camera wire all the way to the back window under your headliner by removing the top window moldings and probably A,B,C-pillar moldings on one side
and for sure, get a 'surveillance grade' or 'high endurance' microSD card like SANdisk sells,

I have Thinkware FA200, it takes a bit to wire it up but has nice clean video, and for me parking recording mode is better than that of Blackvue for my purposes. Lots of good brands out there it all depends on your needs and price range.

I use a Garmin Mini. So small it's hidden from driver side by the rear view mirror. I simply tucked the wiring from headliner to passenger side A pillar, run it down to the cabin filter cover and across to the cigarette lighter plug. Sucks my 16' doesn't have a plug in the glove like older W212's.
