Engine light, rumbles, how much is too much?
Between all this i did swing my local mechanic and he found an ignition coil needed to be changed. He said it would be a quick job but upon popping the hood realized a lot more needs to be removed to get it done, and he’s right, for the e350 ‘14, it does. I wasn’t comfortable with him doing all that, so passed.
My choice now is going to a dealer. And I’ve been quoted several prices. Before getting into that, what’s the best plan of action everyone? The car is only at 35,000 miles.
Change just the one coil? Change all the coils?
Change spark plugs too?
For a coil change I’ve been quoted 500, throw in spark plugs then another 600
For all 6 coils I’ve been quoted 1100, throw in 6 spark plugs 1500
Which of these is best to do, as I’m concerned 1 new coil might not sit right with the other old coils. Do spark plugs need to be changed around this time, since they are going to be all in there anyway right now might be a good idea? How is the pricing, I know dealerships always charge a premium but is it way more than expected?
Thank you so much for reading! Any help is appreciated.

@ 35kMi your car does not need $1500 plugs or coils... It needs a MB shop that knows these cars.
Your rumble may have something to do with camshaft phasers and engine oil being too low or the wrong MB grade (5w40).
These cars need timely maintenance... when you wait the bill only gets longer and turn into expensive repairs. Cars have no self-healing process, don't expect issues to get better.
Don't ruin your ownership experience... deal with a shop that understands W212 maintenance using OEM spare parts only.
