If they want OTHER people to appreciate how LOUD their car is, well, they are obnoxious and antisocial, and should be banned from driving on public roads. Buy a Harley Davidson motorcycle with straight pipes, and drive it as much as you can tolerate, which hopefully isn't much.
basically, if you want a loud car, you chose the wrong brand, Mercedes Benz went to great lengths to make their cars as quiet as possible. I think the E63S has a 'race' mode that opens bypass valves in the exhaust

Moreover, resonators and mufflers in the exhaust system are there for their purpose and it’s not because of the noice reduction

While changing the exhaust most likely requires a tune, it isn't true that the exhaust designers specifically added in an amount of backpressure to make the ECU tuner guys' jobs easier.
The muffler is there only to reduce sound, and everything else is adapted to deal with the negative ramifications of it being there.

I really don't like the S though. I prefer a clean deck.
