I have a cracked-peeling door handle trim on BOTH the drivers door and drives side passenger door. Looks like white ABS plastic cover, not really just a painted surface?
Is this a common issue, can I replace with a new cover, it seems only chrome, black or carbon fiber online-no white.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have researched online to no avail...

It was black underneath the crack I painted w touch up...
Do not know if there is an ABS cover or do I need to order 2 new handles?
If you get door panels removed to replace door handles, then have a look at your lock actuators.
Concider simply replacing the cheap worm-gear motor that cause the door locks to become unresponsive.

A buffing tool would help but I would not touch it for fear of making it worse .A paint shop should be able to fix it but my recommendation would be a dealer albeit it may sound expensive
Unless these door handles were repainted following a fender bender(?) and have since peeled, I would first ask your local MB dealer for their assessment.
