Where to buy 45mm flush hood badge?

Has anyone found a place that sells 45mm flush hood badges (preferably black)? I ordered two and both of them were 57mm and didn’t fit

This one? I think I paid 45? Ill get you the part number if this is the one you’re looking for.

It looks a little off of the body line but it’s OE. Not sure how I can adjust it. In person it looks fine

The badge depicted above is NOT the size requested.

The smaller hood badge that sits within the hood divot -- like the one I produced until 2014 -- are hard to find now.

I can't speak for him, but you can contact forum sponsor JBSPEED to see IF he still sells his version. https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...ment-45mm.html

I already ordered part # 2078170316 which straight up doesn’t fit (i didn’t see the back of it until it arrived) and part # 2048170616 which fits, but is 57mm and doesn’t sit flush

The one that I have and is reported to fit is A000 817 3305. It is metal over plastic and snaps in after the stand-up star is removed. It does not have any spring mechanism on the back and just relies on the plastic to snap-in. It has a black center (not the pebbly silver). It was recommended to be used with the GT/Panamerica grille that I bought and will someday install if the weather ever gets better.

I should mention that I measured the one above and it's 57mm and therefore unsuitable for the OP's purposes. This one;

https://www.ebay.com/itm/324064851914

Looks just like it except it has a spring mechanism on the back, and my eyeball tells me that it is also 57mm.

Do you have a close up picture of the one that you have purchased, installed? It wont be the end of the world for me if it isn't a 45mm, but I dont want to keep purchasing 57mm's with garbage fitment.
I have one on right now (https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...5/IMG_0131.jpg)
If you zoom in, theres a gap between the hood and the bottom of the badge. This is what I don't want.

I don't remember JBSPEED's price, sorry.

And NO, I haven't had any parts to make my White Star badges since late 2013. You can place a WTB in the Forum classifieds though. They sometimes pop-up there.

i might not install this for 2-3 weeks. But I wonder if the difference between the one I have (which I believe to be genuine) and the eBay one shown (likely genuine and more than twice as expensive) is the spring loaded mechanism on the bottom of the more expensive piece, which may keep it flat against the hood better.

Can confirm this part number fits great. Supposedly an OEM part and they recently ditched the spring loaded clip to just a plastic clip on the back side. Most importantly, it snaps right on and lies flat on all edges by accommodating the center crease on our hoods. I had a flat badge before and having the edges sticking up drove me crazy. Here's a link to the specific one I bought:

Yes! Looks awesome. The fitment is perfect. Thanks for the recommendation.

As you can probably see by the black wheels and side markers, I’m going for a more blacked out look. Car has no chrome on the sides (I wrapped it), and the black badge really completes it.

Looks great!! It’s really a finishing touch.

Where did you get your side markers? I have factory leds for all of my lighting and couldn’t find em?

Thanks! Some people might not like this, but I just wrapped them in black vinyl. There are some on ebay, but I didn't want any light to shine through. I had some extra laying around from when I wrapped the chrome around the windows and just decided to go ahead and do it. It turned out really good. I'm not sure if it's illegal in Florida, but the facelift W212 don't have them so I can't imagine they are that important

Since 1968, all passenger cars sold in the US are required to have side marker lights for safety. I grew up in an era without them, and with, and I can tell you it's much safer at an intersection at night with them.

My facelift W212 most certainly does have a front marker light. It's a strong amber LED within the headlight bezel.

Ah ok, I was not aware they were integrated into the headlight. I wish mine were like that, then I wouldn't have had to black them out lol!
