Thanks for locating connectors for the sensors (3 wire) which MB doesn't sell.

BTW, i asked the eBay seller (ZZPerformance) if they could separate and sell just the sensor harnesses since I already have MB pigtails for the magnets (2 wire).

They did, you'll find them here - https://www.ebay.com/itm/115699950640

It appear as though the ebay link for the pigtails for the camshaft position sensors are sold out. Is there another link by any chance? Thanks

I'm looking into replacing my sensors as preventative maintenance. I drive a 2012 e550 coupe with the M278 and will be paying a shop to do it.

So I want to make sure, all I need are these from fcpeuro and the wires from ebay?

Or should I be getting the FCP euro kit with the harnesses.

Thanks!

I got in and did the cam position sensors today. Easy peasy. Oil was leaking into all of the connectors, so I blasted them with connector cleaner and air until they were dry. Not much I can do about whatever is already in the harness. Not a single magnet was easily accessible. On the passenger side, there is a pipe behind the charge air pipe that was in the way of an E10 socket. The charge air pipe is easily removable on the top side, but the bottom was unreachable from the top. I didn't have the car jacked up and didn't feel like taking off the bottom plate. Is that the route to go for that side?

On the driver's side, there are all kinds of oil lines in the way which have connections which look like AC line fittings (where they bolt together with the bolt parallel to the pipe axis). I watched a couple videos and nobody really removed much, so perhaps I'm not looking at it right. I ordered E10 box end wrenches which nobody sells locally. I should be able to finagle things with those, but then of course I can't torque the bolts afterwards. I have a pretty good sense of the amount of torque these things need, but obviously there IS a way to do this and torque the bolts. They do it in the videos I watched. Guess I need to watch again.

I also cleaned the magnet connectors which were also full of oil and installed the pigtails here. I have the position sensor pigtails on the way...
