I'm sure it's negligible, if you really want to go faster, you could always fold in the mirrors for even less wind resistance. Got a fake star on aliexpress once, it was about $20 but it didn't quite fit, had to take some parts off the old one to make it fit. A few years later you can see some rust on the ball at the base and it doesn't spring back like normal. Originally when I complained, all they would do was give me $10 back. Basically wasted $10. I guess I'll wait for this one to go and then get a real OEM one not from China.

It truly is a Benz, alright. Whether the upright hood star or flat is just a matter of preference.
Having worked with these decorations for years (2005-2013), I sometimes ask myself why Mercedes-Benz bothered to continue cutting out the hood divot to accommodate either style? An expensive procedure in the chase for tradition? When the bigger grille badging appears to be taking over?

I believe you can't simply swap the 'sport' grill with the big star on the facelift cars for the 'classic' grill without also swapping the whole bumper cover

I wanted to swap my sport for a luxury and get the star back, but I also have distronic, which complicates things as well. The sport grill also hides the distronic much better.
