Before re-installing don't forget to steam the foam to fluff it up back to like-new condition!

your front left(drivers) seat cover is A212-910-37-05-8S40. Cover for the backrest is A212-910-79-05-8S40. 8S40 is 'silky beige artico'

I'm not aware there is an "updated part # without the seam." The part is simply a replacement, like for like...

Hi Konigstiger, would you mind verifying the part number for the seat cover and lower foam pad for my 2016 wagon? Figure I may as well replace the foam while I am at it. VIN is WDDHH8JB6GB338517

Thank you!

I'm hoping he's okay. He hasn't visited the forum in months.

For my grey MB Tex seat bottom, the old part number is 212-910-03-46-7H23 and the new part number is 212-910-73-46-7H23. I'm pretty sure that I saw this replacement listed on https://mbparts.mbusa.com/. The FCP Euro picture of the seat bottom shows a close up of the center seam revealing that it's all one piece of material, not two joined at that spot.

The original will have the stitches; otherwise, we will need to replace every single seat cover including the rear. There is no way MB will provide a replacement that does not match the original design. Perhaps a single piece and a decorative stitch so it looks the same, but stitched after all.

Is it correct that the original seat bottom had two pieces stitched together at the seam which splits? The new part appears to be a single piece with, as you said, a decorative stitch so it looks identical to the original. I believe I've read about this in other places on the site which is why I paid attention to it on the FCP images.

I just ordered a seat cover from FCP Euro, and figured I might as well replace the bottom foam as well since its had 80,000 miles of someones bum in it. Will post photos once its all complete.

Not sure which driver seat cover to get?

I would like to fix the ripped DRIVER (left) seat on my 2013 E350 4dr base sedan (artico gray MBtex, Multicontour, heated seat but NOT ventilated).

The dealer is telling me P/N for my VIN is A21291077467H23 (last 4 digits are color code). This part is not available in the US right now - only Germany with unspecified lead time.

Other places such as FCP Euro say I can use A21291073467H23. This part is readily available including in stock at my dealer.

Note the only difference between these part numbers is a single digit. My dealer admitted that there are cases where sometimes there are 2 seemingly different part numbers that actually are the same item but they have no way of knowing that from their database.

Does someone know what the difference between these P/Ns are and can they be used interchangeably? I would much prefer to use the P/N that is actually available.

I was also told the foam cushion for my vehicle was A2129100750, Not sure if that is compatible with both covers above?

Adding to the mystery, when I go on the online mercedes part lookup for my vehicle, the P/N from FCPeuro comes up but the dealer supplied part is not even there at all!

Thanks so much.

Finally did this job. The dealer part number was right and FCP euro was wrong. I will say that this job is a royal pain in the A$$. Getting the cover to fit over the frame is insanely difficult. I did not replace the seat foam and it wasn't necessary. Looks great now that it is done.

PS: I would love to hear the pro tip for how to fit the cover to the frame without killing yourself or ripping the cover? Are you using heat guns or something?

If it fits any easier, it will end up loose and wrinkled. If it looks great, tight and firm, you got the right size, and you installed correctly.

I replaced all the front ones, top and bottom, driver and passenger. The bottom is the easier one.

Definitely plenty of cursing. That's scary if the bottom is the "easier" one. Thankfully its always the bottom one that fails, not the top [usuallly]
