TPMS valves
How would I be able to check my TPMS are in full working order without paying a fortune? Only reason I ask is sometimes it flags up sensor missing but other days it’s totally fine.
also can I buy any compatible sensor or is it recommended to use genuine Mercedes’ ones?

If all pressures go nuts its the CAN-bus module,
if only a single wheel is funny, then its a sensor.
How old are your units?
They rely on a 3V coin battery to broadcast data over to receiver exposed over the rear axle.
Where do you buy your tires?
Good tire place sale "compatible" sensors that should work once registered.

The TPMS Schrader system can be temperamental to work well in these cars... You need to figure what's going on!

the units are probably from 2015 unless changed by previous owners.
I haven’t changed my front tyres since buying this car.
thanks for the guidance. First time writing on a forum lol

THERE IS NOTING YOU CAN ADJUST ON MB TPMS.
The alarm pressure is set on ECU, or whatever computer takes care about it INSIDE the car, when sensor location is determinate by directional antennas.
Even $50 scanners do have TPMS reading options. Get 1 .

ONE or ALL ??
Your current issue is limited to a single old sensor furthest away from receiver module.
Are you going to replace 1, 2 or 4 wheel sensors?

Receiver distance doesn't matter. The car is having 2 directional antennas, who's placement differs form MY to MY.

memorizing a threshold
Maybe someone used the tire sensing a lot, like the front left was leaking for a while and the sensor triggered frequently? mine in my '12 are still original, my '13 also. but it sounds like the battery is going dead. personally I would use OEM, I also though you could "calibrate" them on the dash while the tire pressures are displayed?
The temperature is also available but only through scanner data.

For new sensors check with this ebay seller. I bought sensor from him for my Sprinter (full size spare come without it duh). and worked right away.
$15 for OE sensor is hard to beat and he is having deals on 4.

It is all subject to checking.
I've been buying MB and other parts in Europe and I have been sending MB parts to Europe.
Lot of new parts are sold much cheaper in USA than in other countries, so even paying extra for shipping makes sense.
Than in Europe I could buy small and/or rare parts that have never been sold in USA.
Sending part from NY to London can be cheaper than from NY to San Francisco in some instances.

I have an Autel MaxiTPMS tool that has proven itself very handy with 5 cars in the family (each with a separate set of mounted snow tires). It will read pressures, battery status as well as program new sensors. I use it frequently to take tire pressure readings.
I also recommend their dual frequency sensors which work on nearly any car. I found a kit on Tirerack.com that comes with 8 sensors. If you need sensors too this is a good deal https://www.tirerack.com/tpms/detail...06&brand=Autel

The site recommends me replacement MB sensors for $44 each for my dually Sprinters.
Mercedes never had sensors on duallies as 2 sensors close together will not work with directional antennas.

I suggest having codes pulled by someone with Xentry (MB diagnostics) ‘may’ need to replace auxiliary battery relay as recommended by attached bulletin. Reluctant to do so, if you want provide VIN I will supply correct MB part #s to shop tire sensors (should also pull aftermarket), relay and CU if needed.
