I am assuming you have 2014 or newer W1212 with auxillary 12V DC electric tranny oil pump.
Go and check the connector of that electric pump, who knows workshop only forgotten to re-install the connector or bad contact at the connector.

Also check the small 7.5A fuse at the 12V 12Ah baby battery at the trunk

I don't know if 2012 has aux 12V DC tranny oil pump yet or not....
My logic says that having the baby 12Ah eco battery at the trunk , probably aux tranny oil pump is there too.
I have shut down my ECO by programming the engine computer like 2 years now.
I hate ECO. So I do not remember the visual sequence of the ECO button always GREEN when ECO is ready or not or it is only the display at instrument cluster where yellow ECO is not ready and green ECO is ready.
The criteria for ECO to allow to function is quite a long list.
Why don't you first go to instrument cluster and use the engineering mode to access VOLTAGE and AMPERAGE into the battery. See how good is the charging.
If the battery is not deemed fully charged, ECO wont operate....but I don't know if the ECO button is still lighted or not...sorry.

As a first step I would check the state of charge on your main battery, even if it is new. It is possible that there are other reasons for it to stop working but I've not seen another one on this forum but a low main battery.

Notice on my e250 that when the car sits all weekend and leave for work monday the eco button light is not on and it wont turn on. After my drive the next startup it will be lit green and i can turn it off.
i have original batteries i think and know i am getting to point of needing replacement. Just wanted to share what mine does. After a good recharge the eco button light will be lit every startup including 1st time in morning (so rest of work week).
Whoops wrong similar thread.
