The best least expensive synthetic oil is sold at Walmart if your in the states, nearly 1/3 off there. I get my Mobile One at Sam's, bets price there for Mobile One. If Walmart's has your filter check inside the box and make sure its new, people exchange the old one for a new one frequently(cheap ***'s).

Usually oil is cheapest at Walmart but once in a while a place like BJs will have a sale, just got some during black friday, $27 for 6 quarts. Oil filter is a toss up, Either the Mann filter from Rockauto or from FCPEuro. It's more at FCPEuro, but you just pay shipping to get another one for free as they have a lifetime warranty on all the parts they sell. I suppose you could buy a couple at a time so you can send back both at the same time as it will save you on shipping but now you're paying for 2. And if you want to do it the cheapest way, then drop the panels and do it from the drain bolt. If you suck it out, you won't get a good look at the underside of the car and won't know if your CV boots are ripped. Plus you don't have to buy an extractor and store it. So far I've only changed the oil 5-6 times in the years I've owned it so the payback from storing a vacuum device is a long time.
