However, the F# function buttons don't seem to do what is advertised... every button push (F1, raise LR; F2, lower LR; F3, raise RR; F4, lower RR) has the effect of *dropping* the left rear!

Now I'm unfortunately stuck in a "not completed" level calibration state, with the left rear tucked, and the car won't air itself up automatically, either (and which I presume also explains an adapative headlights unavailable error message).

Has anyone else experienced this, with the Airmatic, or any other controller, on the Creader?
This is unfortunate. I was able to complete level calibration on my 2015 ML63 with my Launch X-431 V tablet, the 8 inch version. I was able to manually air up/down the bags to the point where the height was equal on both sides (front and rear) to the point that I wanted it to sit and then perform the calibration using minimum values for incline angle since I don't have any tool to measure that. I did this on my level garage floor. When I got the car it just looked off and the height measurements differed from one side to another on the same axle. The rear just looked too high, so I lowered it a little before performing the calibration and it held where I had manually set the heights. I think this method could even be used to set the ride height lower than stock. Since I did not have stock measurements, I just set it where it looked good to me. I was not attempting to lower the ride height from original.

inspired by this post so it can reduce throttle delay on xentry, I wonder whether something similar is available on the launch. So far I found pedal curve parameter. The default one is 1.5, I change it to 2.3 and wow the throttle response is so much nicer now on my E300. Usually I need to push the pedal harder now not so much,

will be looking for other settings

Looks like the change is in the ECM (ME) per the screenshot. Likely under Variant Coding. BE SURE TO CREATE A BACKUP BEFORE MAKING CHANGES!

Nope not trying others after I saw someone post dont try the top 2 setting as it can trigger limp mode. Yes its under the ECM module.

not sure I would disable the torque limit without knowing what it does. I think it is an engine protection feature.

Has anyone programmed a key fob with this Launch unit.? As my 2012 GL 450 has only one key and I want 2 additional key fobs made. If this can program Key fobs I just get this now rather than wait for the holiday sales season.

No, you cannot. You may be able to find a locksmith that can program keys for a 2012 car, but I believe beginning in 2015 you MUST go to a Mercedes dealer.

I have found that NorthCoastKeyless is a good source for fobs.

I messaged a few people offering key services, I have a 2015. They said 2014 and older it is possible with generic equipment, but 2015+ is new dealer only tech. Dealership wants $800-ish just for the key and an hour of labor to program. Totally BS. Even Porsche does not charge that much.

2015+ = 100% dealer only. I'm assuming it is computer linked to a master database or something.

gotta say, I liked my Toyota Tacoma, you could program the car to recognize a new fob with buttons on the dashboard and a magic 'fart and tapdance' sequence. I think my Fords have been much the same.

I've just acquired a 2007 Honda cr-v and restoring it for my father in law. It's funny how basic it is compared to my normal German cars.

Fwiw our 2019 Ford Expedition Limited Stealth edition has some cool stuff our Mercedes doesn't, like a very functional 360 Camera, and adaptive cruise that works really well. I know those were options on the Benz... The Ford SUV seats are as comfortable as the W, and they have forced air cooling and heating, and are real leather not Artico

that one will not code ANY Benz keyfob unless you get the IMMO capable addon. As far as I understand, and open to be corrected, you need the adapter so you can put the keyfob's prismatic part in, so the scanner can communicate to the keygob.

I once chatted with a Launch representative about 6 months ago, and told me to get the IMMO for coding keys up to FSB3. For FSB4, he said " dealer only"

I have seen knock off keyfob blanks up to FSB3, have not seen one for FSB4 in the wild yet. There is a forum for automotive locksmiths, you can read all the limitations from the ones making a living out of this market

Cool to know.
I would hope never to want to or need to scan my GL450. (Hey let me dream lol) Now my Smart car with a lot of Mercedes engineering and logic. I intent to Scan and look through anything it will allow. A current TCM fault causes a random 1 min 20 sec starting delay, a manageable issue but makes it an unreliable get-a-way car. So I will get two 2012 GL450 keys now and pick up a scanner of this level during the Internet sales season.
