Question W212 Facelift side mirrors, are they common to other models?

Hey guys,

I've managed to smash the left side mirror on my partners new E350 wagon, got a cheapy replacement mirror only off eBay, put that on, the lane parking LED is shocking compared to the genuine on the right side.

Long story short, fitted it all back on no worries, went to adjust it from inside and the mirror doesnt tilt inwards anywhere like it used to so you cant really see down the side of the car very well.

Went to pull the mirror back off to see if it was fouling on something and of course the cheap Chyknees crap cracked and now looks like trash.

Reason for my post is to ask if the facelift 2014 model side mirrors are common to any other models or are they unique to the W/S212 range only?

I'm hoping to get a complete mirror of a wrecked car here in Australia as postage from Europe and USA is just mental now!!

Cheers!

Not sure at all.
I am currently replacing the mirror on my 2013 and decided to buy the OEM on e-Bay motors to avoid all the crap you described. Awaiting delivery...

The mirrors should not have changed throughout the W212/S212. Of course option due differ. Some have heating elements, or blind spot lights led's. Post how your looks.

Could you please help me understand by explaining what W212/S212 are and the differences? I have seen references in other threads...

First, is it the driver side or passenger? A picture of the bad mirror would help. A VIN of your car would help us find out which options you have.

@S. Madman , I am not the one looking for the mirror for the wagon... I am just curious as to the difference in the W212/S212 types.

UPDATE: Part received 7 days early from 'spriga' on e-bay. Great experience from seller with prompt responses and explanations. Fits perfectly and works. Now I have to work on my "Blind Spot Assist Inoperative" message which was there prior to replacing the mirror.
