Electrical speakers and eco mode
Hello. I got a 14 350 4matic. Hardon Karmon speakers. I noticed getting in my car this morning. A slight crackling coming from the front windshield area. Ik about the amp issue. Just wanted to see if there’s a more in-depth way of diagnosing it. I work in a shop so we got tools. Another issue is sometimes when I start my car. The green eco doesn’t pop up and I have to restart the car for it to work. Final issue. Sometimes. And it’s very rare. My vehicle won’t shift out of park until I shut it off twice. Starts fine I have no codes. For engine or any speakers that I could see. I do need to do a transmission flush but I doubt that’s a cause. Any input would help. Thank you.

Regarding the "stuck in park" issue, what tool did you use to scan for codes? My 14 350 RWD had a similar issue a few months back and luckily has not come back. However, I scanned with XEntry and I found codes (STORED only) for the ISM, i.e. selector module.
When it happened, I turned it off, opened/closed the door, locked it with the remote, and started it again. It worked. My guess at the time was a "communication issue", computer confused.

so we have a snap on reader in our shop. Not sure of the exact model but it’s an iPad type scanner. I didn’t see any codes though I never checked the TCM or the ISM directly.

I’m guessing it’s the original alternator so 100K. The eco issue happens every once inna while. Starting to become more common. The speakers just happened this morning.

The 2014 model is known for frying speakers, there's lots of info on that in this forum, also check your batteries, if their old, they could be causing your issues, maybe charge both and see.

Here he uses XEntry to diagnose a CAN issue. There are several other videos using XEntry, and of course voltmeter and dissembling parts to measure real live data.
