Speedometer noise
Hi out there
i just joined and have a question. I have a 2010 E350 which I have owned since new.
About a year or so ago, I started hearing a boise that sounded like a speedometer cable.
I brought it in for service recently and the mechanic heard the noise and could not figure it out.
We put it on a lift with wheels free and put car in gear and ran it and there is no noise, so it only happens when car is on the ground and driving.
Anyone have a solution or idea as to what this might be. The only thing I can come up with is that there is no weight on suspension when can is up in the air but still can’t find anything
thanks

would be speedo noise
I am not 100% positive if the 2010 MY already has a fully electronic speedo without a spinning cable. The vehicle speed is calculated based on sensors.
Is this a "4-Matic" with front driveshafts by any chance?
