Windshield wiper cowl replacement

The windshield wiper cowl on my 2014 E300 has basically disintegrated to the point where every time I look at it, I see more pieces of rubber that have broken off or are about to. It is extremely brittle and simply touching it will cause pieces of rubber to break off in your hand.

If anyone has access to EPC, could they please pull the part number for this? The $5 EPC VM I bought off eBay 2 years ago has stopped working for some reason.

The VIN is WDDHF5FB3EB057429

Also does anyone know if replacing it is a simple DIY job or if it needs to be taken to a shop?

Pictures attached for reference:

Thank you very much @konigstiger

I've also been meaning to get the engine mounts and the transmission mount replaced. Can you please pull part numbers for those as well?

WOW, your car is 2014..... same year as mine but mine parked inside the garage no sun and I seldom use it and park in open sunlight.
Is that because always under the sun since you owned it ?...and if its not from brand new, how bad was it when you first bought the car and when ?

ADD : Once a month I use those plastic protection spray from Meguire to make it not so dull looking

thanks

I bought the car in September 2021, so I can only say that I've tried my best to keep it out of direct sunlight whenever possible. Can not speak for the previous owner, and I believe this car has spent a lot of its life in the sun based on the wear and condition of various parts and interior trim pieces I've seen. I even posted about the headlight on this forum a few months ago, and was told that it was due to UV exposure.

In some places parking outside is the only option, so I have to do it, otherwise I prefer underground or covered parking wherever I can.

Lots of buttons in the interior have started peeling. Window switches, the 'ON' button on the COMAND unit, and the steering wheel controls, which I have replaced with a brand new set. This windshield wiper cowl has completely fallen apart as shown in the pictures. The black rubber trim/seals (not sure what the correct term is), around the windows on all four doors are in extremely poor condition (pic attached for reference).

I took the part number for the windshield wiper cowl that konigstiger shared and asked around, not readily available with anyone so I will have to order it. When it arrives, I will have it replaced whenever the car goes in for its next service.
