Hi all
so I have the facelift w212 eclass with xenon headlamps and I wish to upgraded to the led headlamps

I can’t find any tutorial videos online and I’m working have any owners on hear done this

my main concern is do I need a certain wireing loom or do they plug straight in

Wiring is the least of your concerns. Extensive coding will be required on the car for the lights to work correctly, and I'm not sure if the physical headlight switch on non-LED models is the same, so that might have to be changed as well.

on some models it might be tight and you might need to modify the cover .. on 2011 e350 it fits perfectly, on 2018 GLE had to completely remove the cover and used an aluminum tape as a cover which the aluminum tape help disperse the heat ..

thanks but I mean the whole headlight to led not just the bulbs

I suppose anything is possible, only takes patience and money, you have a '13 with xenons and the lighting package, that means you have cornering lamps and auto high beams and auto leveling, changing out to newer LED headlights is well beyond my knowledge or skilset, this is a pretty complicated system using cameras, height sensors and even the turn signal lever.

Hey Benz Family, my passenger side headlight recently went out and I replaced the bulb with a factory bulb and also tried an LED and neither seems to work. I checked the fuse in the engine compartment box and it was good. Any other suggestions?

OK, so aftermarket, best to pull codes if you can, sounds like a headlight ballast, but did you check the fuse? you can swap the ballast from left to right to see before you fire the parts cannon, but the code read is a good place to start after fuse check.

So you are converting from HID to LED …

I'm a little confused. You say you have a facelift 2013 W212. IIRC, facelift years are 2014-2016 which are equipped with either LED low beams and halogen high beams, or the LED ILS package which is all LED. If your 2013 W212 is pre-facelift, my understanding is that it's equipped with either halogen or xenon headlamps - I'm not aware of a factory LED option. If there is, please enlighten me as it would be news to me.

If your W212 is pre-facelift and you want to upgrade to facelift headlights, I posted a video in my first post. It's a more extensive job and I don't remember if you also have to upgrade the hood, fenders and bumper as well. You will also need a different harness than the one in my tutorial, which involves some re-pinning on the front SAM.
