Lightbulb High pressure fuel pump

Hello.
I need to find a high pressure fuel pump for my 2009 W212 E350 (engine M272). However those things are expensive! Why do they cost so much? The price begins at around 1500£. Does anybody know where I can find them a little cheaper? I managed to find one for 1000£ on eBay, but I am yet to hear from the seller. The part number is A2720700201. Answers will be highly appreciated!

On other hand, I bought lot of things on alibaba, including $25,000 custom gazebo. Dealing with Chinese people is not easy as they think differently and don't think manuals are needed, but with some patience it works, when alibaba gives good support when the seller is not cooperating.

You have a DI engine in s 2009 model car already? I thought those came a couple years later…?

Also google search brings information for M272 that it is Port Injection fuel system.

actually the M272 has a 3.5L Variant specifically th M272980, it is a Direct injection engine and incorporates a High pressure fuel pump. it is seen in the E350 prior to 2012 in the USA, but in South Korea it is found in their E300’s prior to 2012.
what confuses people is that in south korea they have both the 3.0L M272 and the 3.5L M272 and are both found in E300’s prior to 2012.
Sometimes the Car has a CGI badge clearly distinguishing it is indeed a direct injection M272 and sometimes not, but as a rule of thumb if you have a 3.5L M272 engine IT WILL HAVE Direct Injection.
What upsets me the most is that Blueefficiency Garbage Technology, over-engineering the charging system to save a few milliliters.
