Camera guide lines

Hello,

Is E350 MY2014( Feb 2014 manufactured) has rearview camera guidelines as I don't have and how I can enable it since from engineering mode there is no such option.
Is it any failure or can be enabled by DAS?

Thanks in advance!

Confused on your wording.

Several model years before 2016 did not have guide lines in the camera. In this thread, the 2nd to last post is from someone with a 2013 model that does not have the lines. https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...a-install.html

I don't know about your 2014 that came the following year (first year of facelift), but the 2016s have them.

My 2014 E550 Cab 4.7NTG has the guidelines
seems like I have seen something about enable or disable but not sure where, likely in Xentry as I haven't spent much time in the engineering menu.

If i run across I'll give a shout out

helpless lines....

useless lines with N0 parking intelligence 😂

Currently these lines show steering angle. This is milles away from MB self-parking help...

I use my rear view mirrors and don't bother a second... perhaps no line is no problem

Yup for sure but at least I can know the width of my car cause the camera shows me that space is less wide and the mirrors enlarge the view as my W220 side mirrors show more accurate and the mirror is bigger

Lines <<--- RFKamera

if you really like these lines use an updated RFK module.
I think the camera itself reads the steering angle from the SCM to compose a complete screen internally with lines.

This may involve coding to extend new function/module.
