Hi, I am trying to install a back reverse camera. My E class is with Comand NTG 4.0. For now I try to test the camera. I got power (+ / - ) directly from the battery. I connected the video cable to the green input, as shown on the picture
I enabled the camera from the Engineering menu (SRVC option). When I select the R gear the screen switches to the camera screen. But screen shows black. Can somebody help me? What I am making wrong?
I powered the camera with a 220V to 12V adapter to get the video signal directly to my TV. The camera works fine. But still it is not working when connected to the car multimedia.
What resolution is the camera pumping out ?
Your TV still has video input analog style one ? Those yellow RCA jack kind of composite input ?
Its very rare to see those input nowadays.
If the reverse camera resolution too high, maybe the NTG4.0 would not want to show the image.

I have a rear passenger 2 video screens at driver and co-driver headrest. MB original. And a DVD player too at rear set middle part, MB original. None is a 720P resolution.

Well, that is a good test to do.
I connected the car multimedia video input with a home DVD player that has analog output. Again there is no video signal. I think to try change the facra connector and the video cable.
