Hi guys I have a strange issue which happened all of a sudden yesterday. My radio screen has a security message and my parking system no longer works.. also the mirrors don't fold any more. I read the fault codes and it looks like a communication problem with something?

Do any of you experts out there know what has caused this and how would I go about getting it fixed? I have attached a picture of the error codes to this post. Thank you in advance for your time. Gareth

Car is a UK car registered on a 62 plate. It's a e250 CDI coupe with the 2.1 litre om651 engine

always mention engine model when you request assistance for non gasoline engine in this forum.
diesel is not common in USA, or even small engine like M271 gasoline.

You have an interesting collection of faults. One of these module is disrupting your party.

It shows your Seatbelt, Door units and these two modules I am not familiar with....

who are these guys.... rear location


To find out which module wants to play with your wallet... process of elimination here :

-- unplug one line at the time from door sill bus connectors

-- until you know which line has you pined.

-- likely it is a swampy Parktronic sensor shorting out bus coms.

-- Next go find the module(s) on that CAN-Bus line.... usually towards rear end.

 

Your issue is not engine-related, so no need to direct it there.
Software is my week point, but from what i know, you car lost communication or configuration with parking module.
Do you own a scanner who can configure it back?

 

No other engine in E250 in the USA, only diesel that I am aware of.

Diesel is very common in USA just not necessarily in some applications. Just FYI. Only this section of forum all assume its a gasser even though this is the easiest forum to find for W212 and the diesel section is buried in harder to find area. Not to mention some assume since this w212 section that its fine to post it here until they get directed to catch all diesel section, even though most overall w212 info is located here.

 

What scanner is being used to produce those DTC ?
Some 3rd party scaners are not matured enough for its software, one may end up chasing his own tail when weird DTC is registered and the DTC may not even'exist in Xentry.

The N22/6 is only for coupe. It controls the open-able roof .

Since open-able roof as far as I know has safety system , like at what maximum speed its allowed for its operation and what need to be done before it can be operated and yada yada,
it need to verify its action and/or get a go ahead (probably ) from other modules and in this case A76 seat belt retraction system and power window or door control N62.

For Partronic N62 maybe it is a different issue or inter related.

Chase down N22/6 first. Power to it and CAN BUS to it if power is good.

Does your cabrio roof able to open close properly now ?
I doubt it can work.
