DEPO taillamp assemblies or no

Seems some very small cracks on the very bottom of one of my tail lamp housings letting moisture in. I tried clear windshield sealant after using forced air to dry out housing but moisture has reappeared.

I was wondering if anyone has used DEPO or TYC, and what their experience was, good or bad. I've used them on the Jeep, and they have performed flawlessly, but no LEDs in those.

Any advise will be appreciated.

Yes they do, only mine has small water droplets inside. I thought of removing and heating up to remove moisture, but looking at pictures and videos they appear sealed on the back too. I was going to seal cracks with cyanoacrylate glue, but not until water is gone. So my only choice is replace.

I’ve had Depo facelift look taillights for my prefacelift w212 for about two years. My only complaint is that the turn signals are a bit weak, other than that, they work and look new. They are DOT marked if that is important to you.

Thank you, they do seem to be the popular choice. I was considering a used unit too.

Update, I found a dealer selling a new unit for $50 more than an aftermarket unit with good reviews. Already installed. Inspected old unit, was on the verge of failure, green crusties all over the PCB from water intrusion. Next issue, the rubber sealing plus for the trim panel above taillights. I'll take a trip to dealer to try and purchace enough for both sides to reseal, I put dielectric grease around them in attempt to slow any water intrusion there, and to redo the passenger side which is right above the rear SAM, nice...

I did not, a friend stopped by with a new toy, a duel camera bore scope for his phone. I had pried part of the broken piece off the assembly as I didn't plan on reusing it, and just barely entered the housing through one of the little holes in the chrome piece with the bore scope. There was still water in the lamp, and some of the chrome inside was tarnished and flaking away.

I will call my friend and see if he had saved any of the captures, and get him to send them to me. He was trying all the functions of it, as it was new to him.

I may decide to open it all the way up, and see why it was slightly dimmer than the other one. I will take photos to share. If I can fix it, I may search for a new lens and repair for someone who might need it.
