Passenger headlight won’t work. Please help
Hey guys
I’ve changed out the ballast and the hid bulb.
no luck. Checked fuses 29 and 30 too
any ideas of what can be wrong with my car?
I can’t be driving with one headlight anymore

one eye jack
- HID Bulb
- Ballast
- Fuse
Check or simply clean the circuit GND screw nearby which is the return path to chassis back to alternator source through questionable main strap.
My way of saying, do a real good job: spend 5mn to CLEAN BOTH. Time well spent!
Another option is to read data reported by the HL modules with a working scanner (Xentry).

You could disconnect battery, clear codes and see if it comes on momentarily, then goes off, if it does, your flap is stuck up and the car will automatically turn the headlight off, if it can't get the flap to go down for low beam. but as Cali says, check grounds.

I don't have that picture handy.
--2-- Look at GND screws around the rear of your HL and under the forward beam.
--1-- DO disconnect all batteries before working on GND connections.
--3-- Listen for the shuter sound activating Hi/Lo

Actually have the opposite problem. Low beam is fine, but it's as if the shutter is going the wrong way on high beam. Scanner can't "see" that headlight, either. Any thoughts? I'm hoping to dive into this sometime this week. Would rather not have to get a new headlight unit, but...
More info: 1) adaptive hi beam doesn't work; 2) cornering lamp works; 3) bulb is fine. Weird.
