I am trying to find a plug and play wireless CarPlay to connect my iPhone to my 2014 Mercedes Benz E350. Not looking for the types were they should be installed, just the plug and play and came across some that can be plugged into the USB and just work. My car has one USB plug which I have connected my flash drive to listen to music. There is another plug that already has a media converter plugged into it and that came with the car. Should I buy some type of USB extender so I can plug in both the flash drive and the wireless carplay or I should find some other cable that works with the media connector? This is the item I was interested in purchasing:
I'm an Android not Apple, but I can't imagine that a device doesn't exist like the Motorola MA1
This turns my truck's wired Android Auto into wireless and works flawlessly and invisibly.

there was no carplay or android auto support at all on a 2014. the only way to add it is to get a complete system that sits between the COMAND processor and the screen. In 2016, Mercedes upgraded the COMAND to NTG5.1 which was the new version that the W213 used, *those* units can be flash upgraded and coded to enable wired carplay/android auto.
Thank you so much, I will check my dashboard compartment and see if mine has that Becker slot. I saw a cable which came with my car, already connected to a slot in my glove compartment (across from where the flash drive USB plug goes). I attempted to disconnect that cable, one end looks like this Becker slot. could that be it?
afaik, that Becker module slot in the glovebox was only on world market models, not US models.
Oh thank you, so my car most likely doesn't have it. There is a similar looking outlet in the armrest compartment (across from where we plug in the USB flash drive to play music), it looks like a media cable, not sure if we can use that to hook a wireless car play...

my 2016 E350 has two USB ports in the armrest, which can be used for media, and for charging, but not for phone integration, UNLESS you have the NTG5.1 system AND have hacked it for CarPlay/Android, then the USB 2 port is for the phone.

My car only has one USB port and the other one (in the same compartment), is not a USB port, it has a media cable looking thing attached to it that came with the car. Wasn't sure if that is something I can use to attach the wireless Car Play to

could you post a picture of this 'media cable looking thing' ? Not quite sure what a 'media cable' is... And looking at the 2014 E sedan/wagon brochure, https://www.auto-brochures.com/makes...Class_2014.pdf not sure I see anything suggesting what it might be.

ok, do you have this MMI connector? you can get a cable for that that lets you use that for analog aux input headphone plug style, or as another USB port for a USB stick with music. Some vendors make a bluetooth dongle that plugs into those MMI connectors

Yes, this looks like the port I was talking about, it's inside the compartment where the USB port is located (across from it), came with a cable. I found these pictures online (below) to show you what mine looks like, Will I be able to use this port to attach some type of carplay device?

No, that will only support a USB stick with music files. A different cable supports aux analog audio in via a headphone plug. Your car predates Carplay support by 2 years.
Ah, so I am out of luck. here are all the cables and ports (aside from the USB)
And this last picture is from my glove compartment, I see an empty rectangle spot but no port
