Vibration from rear end under high acceleration.

Hey All, finally grabbed my 2011 E550 W212 about a week ago and afraid it wants to kick me in the teeth a bit. I have just under 108k miles on it and have noticed when I drive at highway speeds there is a vibration that seems like it comes from the back passenger side wheel area. It is not felt in the steering wheel. It could possibly be the wheel out of balance as the tires were replaced 6 months ago. It doesn’t make the noise at low speeds or even high speeds once the speed has stabilized. There is no vibration under deceleration. Typically 60mph+ when accelerating more than a slight couple mph and the vibration hits then goes away. Am I looking at a differential problem, cv axel, balancing, etc? Anyone had the same and what did it end up being. The car has air suspension, but there doesn’t appear to be any issues with that.

I think this the season for overdue parts. Inspecti9n list for your consideration:
tranny mount
intermediate shaft bearing
diff mounts
rear stab links

Your air suspension valves dislike frozen water condensation.

Turns out I have a bad Center carrier bearing on the driveshaft and both rear shock absorbers blown. Couldn't tell because the air bags were fine. Going to be expensive and a trip to youtube university to learn what I need to fix it myself.

There are plenty of YouTube videos out there that can walk you thru the steps...I try to wrench as much as possible myself and YouTube University and search function here are my pre-op steps.

Most usual parts are not expensive. So your best interest is to do it right the first time to save unnecessary repeat labor.

Case in point while your shaft is out for center bearing, change both rubber couplers and the hard working tranny mount.

When I did my S550 center bearing MB dealer wanted to sell me the whole shaft with the bearing assembled to it. They did not sell the bearing and support bracket separately. Cost for the whole shaft would have been around $1600.

I do not know if thus is the same for the E-class but I would think so.

I got the support bracket from ECS Tuning and bearing from FCP Euro for a couple hundred $.
