Blind spot radar sensor replace
found corroded old radar sensor so ordered new on ebay. It should be same number than old. But when arrived it not have all numbers same. Try still install it. No luck. When plugged also "lane keep assist" says error.
does it need some coding by xentry? Or are problem that not all same numbers?
Original
New one

The rear modules are sayed not to need programming if P/N match. Go ahead and read what your replacement are reporting.
Do yourself a favor, be sure to silicone RTV all exposed connectors: both rear + front end.
Or am i missing something and we're actually talking about the same thing?

I've used the grease on connectors with (so far) a 100% success rate.
Sure makes it easier to take the connectors apart in the future, compared with RTV.

Master Surya and I came to agreement against silicone lube to protect contacts.
So what is proven best to protect high-heat contact in the long run when oil will be evaporated??

RTV is perfect outside the connector where wires penetrate through easily compromised seals. That's what I am advocating to RTV seal.
I have not treated connectors contacts but dislike oxidation.

Do you see any benefit from putting RTV around the sides of the connector also?
