2011 E 550 sedan
P 2005

Need help, code P 2005 came on yesterday. Car was parked for like 20min, go to start and nothing only lights and a winding sound from under the hood that started to smell like something burning. Took the key out and waited like 6min and the winding stopped (it was going for like 1min) car started but with hesitation, I was waiting to get my oil changed so I drove right in the bay, changed oil and boom everything started fine. Now today after driving for a while and several stops finally got home and engine light is on. Any suggestions on what to do next?

translate your complete set of fault codes in English.

You said it seems to be electrical.

Can your scanner read Mercedes modules. Double-check.

What voltage are your batteries?

The scanner says Diagnosis of tumble flap ‘intake manifold’ short or open circuit in sensor lines/mechanical fault of one actuating level sensor faulty, replace sensor.
battery voltage was 11.9

The battery is dead for all intents and purposes. That may be your culprit. Regardless, it needs to be replaced. These cars are extremely sensitive to voltages.

What scanner are you using?

JR is going to help you with intake flap jam on your V8. Clean or refurb intake and the control part.

If you're Lucky a fuse protected over current shortcircuit .

(Sorry - I have a ball joint I need to work on)

it was a scanner from a mechanic shop basically, I went to MB dealership and told them the issue and code and they said yeaaaa $230 to hook it up and to tell you what’s wrong. 😂 I said but I just did 😂

And if you drove in with coolant pouring out of a huge hole in your radiator, they'd charge you for the analysis telling you had a leak!
