SRS fault after bad battery

SRS fault after low voltage / bad battery.

Drive too long with a old battery. One day it stopped with the steering wheel locked.

I managed to get the steering column out and replaced the lock with an emulator. I assembeled the steering cloumn and steering wheel ++ and i can use the car again. But i have also got a new fault message. Code U60, its from both of the two front lock on the hood. As i understand goes this back too the SRS unit. I wonder if this component also have got a fault from the low voltage ? or have i missed some cable connection when i removed/assembled the steering column. Are the signal cabling from the two hall sensors in front going via some SAM unit or directly to SRS unit?.

As upu can tell already : this is not simple. There's a serious count of items interacting.
Personally I would use a Launch scanner REPORT to survey the breadth of issues. You already point to many interactions not working.

You need to understand what caused this to happen in the first place else it's busy work circling around.

I wouldn't rush at cleaning the painted GND posts yet it can't hurt.

Wow........ you really know how to rape your car.
Low cost battery, vs all the trouble you are getting now..... brilliant.

I usually will hep with wiring diagram albeit I am not familiar with diesel engine of MB, but if you do not love your car, who else would ?

I've never understood why most folks play battery roulette, yet are OK with preventative maintenance such as oil changes and brake fluid changes. Annual oil changes over 3 years add up to more $$ than one battery replacement over the same period.
