LAUNCH Creader Elite 2.0 Review link

Have you tried using a desktop usb connection to manage updates.
Perhaps your unit has many releases missing or corrupted file, interrupted.
Do you by chance know what they are using and where to download from?
I couldn't find the right software and the one I tried says wrong serial number.
Already tried factory resetting, but still no luck.
Always installs all the packages, but doesn't download the firmware.
Has anybody experience with the airmatic of ACS by chance? It says the module can't be detected for the airmatic and ACS is not available at all.
1. Reset cam shaft adaptations
2. Diagnose rear SAM/liftgate issues. Possibly read the existing SAM and code a replacement.
What's the general consensus - can this diagnostic tool do what I need? Would someone help me out and point me in the right direction?

Here’s how to reset camshaft adaptation (VANOS / variable cam timing / adaptive values) on a Mercedes-Benz using a LAUNCH Creader Elite 2.0 (the procedure is similar for most advanced full-system diagnostic tools with reset/adaptation functions):
🔧 What You Need
- LAUNCH Creader Elite 2.0 BBA with Mercedes-Benz selected and updated software installed (via Wi-Fi) — it supports special functions including adaptations, ECU coding, and component matching. (Manuals+)
- Your Mercedes with ignition ON (engine off unless procedure says otherwise).
- A stable battery voltage (don’t do this with low battery).
🛠 Step-by-Step: Reset Camshaft / VANOS Adaptations
Note: Not all Benz models will show a dedicated “Camshaft Adaptation Reset” menu — it depends on year, engine, and the scan tool’s Benz software version. But if your tool lists it, the interface procedure is roughly as follows:- Connect the Tool
- Plug the Creader Elite into the OBD2 port (under dash).
- Turn the ignition to ON (don’t start engine).
- Plug the Creader Elite into the OBD2 port (under dash).
- Select Vehicle
- Navigate: Diagnose → Mercedes-Benz → Auto Detect or select model/year.
- Wait for the tool to identify the vehicle modules. (Manuals+)
- Navigate: Diagnose → Mercedes-Benz → Auto Detect or select model/year.
- Go to Special Functions
- Select Special Function / Reset Services from the menu.
- Look for a function like “Camshaft Adaptation”, “Vanos Adaptation Reset”, “Adaptive Data Reset / ECU Coding / Component Matching” or similar. (Manuals+)
- Select Special Function / Reset Services from the menu.
- Select the Appropriate Function
- If your Benz lists Camshaft / VANOS Adaptation Reset, select it.
- If it instead offers Adaptive Data Reset / ECU Coding / Component Matching, those options may clear learned cam timing values (depending on your car). (Manuals+)
- If your Benz lists Camshaft / VANOS Adaptation Reset, select it.
- Follow On-Screen Prompts
- Confirm that you want to reset.
- The tool may prompt you to switch ignition OFF/ON or to start the engine. Follow exactly as shown.
- Wait for the procedure to complete.
- Confirm that you want to reset.
- Verify & Clear Codes
- After resetting, go back and clear any DTCs (fault codes).
- Restart the vehicle and check for stored camshaft or VANOS related faults.
- After resetting, go back and clear any DTCs (fault codes).
- Test Drive
- For some vehicles, a short drive cycle is needed for the ECU to re-learn the cam timing behavior under real conditions.
- For some vehicles, a short drive cycle is needed for the ECU to re-learn the cam timing behavior under real conditions.
🧠 Tips You Should Know
- Some functions are only available if the specific Mercedes-Benz package for that system is installed/activated on the scanner. (Manuals+)
- If you don’t see Camshaft Adaptation in the menu, look for Adaptive Data Reset, ECU Coding / Component Matching — those may serve the same purpose on some models. (Manuals+)
- A full Mercedes dealer-level tool (e.g., Xentry/DAS) may provide more detailed VANOS adaptation relearn procedures if the Creader Elite doesn’t show it.
- Always make sure the battery has good voltage throughout the procedure — drops could corrupt the adaptation reset.
⚠️ Important
- Resetting adaptation values does not repair mechanical issues like worn VANOS solenoids, timing chain issues, or low oil pressure — it only clears learned offsets so the ECU can re-learn.
- After reset, the engine control module will re-learn values as you drive — initially you might notice rough idle until the system adjusts.
