It is MB fault.
They lack of creativity to call those features
The LED LED ILS 640/641/642 is called Dynamic LED. Which is also Intelligent Light System aka ILS
So Dynamic LED is supposedly the best there is.
I too get confused with MB brochures or sales video, as they are not the same as WIS.
So WIS is a better name technically.
So US market probably get Code 642, a dumb down version of INTELLIGENT .... he he he he.
See full data in zip for ALL cars and Code 640/641/642 & Auto High Beam code 628 or 608

Go online to convert it to PDF. https://xpstopdf.com/
I am using my internet sourced WIS 2020 in my PC, only WIS no EPC. Default print out is XPS
I dont use the Ninja sourced WIS/EPC as they are in my laptop...15.6 inch screen too small for me and I hate laptop keyboard

WDDHF5KB1GB293392 headlight multibeam retrofit
Guys, did anyone figure out if the menu present in the car for flipping the headlight beam pattern, actually flips the beam pattern or flattens it, if anyone can provide us with a video on how the beam changes after changing the setting on this menu it would be great. Also if this disables intelligent light system? The menu looks like the attached photo

Ok, Lebanon drives on the right, so I believe set to right hand traffic, also I texted my cousin in Europe, he has a 2015 so not exact but says the intelligent lighting works in either setting. So, if you have the car in right hand traffic, it's likely you need to go to a dealer and have your headlights set to factory settings, then intelligent lighting will work and not blind people in oncoming traffic, Likely, your left front headlight is aimed to high in normal setting, so above SPrihadi posted the headlight adjustment procedure done by the dealer.
In your picture, I cant tell if your car is right or left hand drive, not that it would matter, just curious, My son activated the Intelligent lighting here in New Jersey, but he also had a 2015 with lighting pkg, which I believe is different than the 2016 full LED package.
So, you could just experiment by adjusting down your left front headlight a turn at a time until on low beam it hits oncoming cars at their headlight level.
When you drive into oncoming traffic, does your right headlight dim down at the top? this would indicate you are set to the wrong traffic side? If the picture above is correct set to left hand traffic, it is my understanding that its backwards and needs to be set to right hand traffic for Lebanon.

Picture 1⤴️ (the headlights i bought to retrofit on my car came with this beam)
Picture 2 ⤴️(this is how it should be in lebanon)
So the only idea here is to flip the beam without losing intelligent headlight feature
So hopefully it will work once i activate the menu up top and change the setting. But can anyone that has the setting in his car with the intelligent multibeam headlights, change the setting and capture if there is a difference in the beam
A picture of the interior

Yes, from that beam pattern you are set to left hand traffic, reset to right hand traffic, this will change or correct the beam pattern without affecting the intelligent lighting

I believe you can change that in the intelligent lighting menu yourself, just scroll down to Left hand traffic, hit OK and set to Right hand traffic?

My cousin in Switzerland says if you switch from the original program to the opposite side of the road so from right hand traffic to left hand traffic, you lose motorway mode and extended fog lights, so it appears you need to reprogram for right hand traffic, so yes, you lose features, Maybe your programmer was confused as to what right hand traffic was, it indicates the side of the road your driving on, in the US and Lebanon that's the right side of the road

well, you have the wrong thing programmed now, so delete and reprogram for right hand traffic, then you'll only lose features if you change it to left hand traffic, you have to program to euro standards as that feature was not available in the US

The automatic operation must first start with the lights being set as per its market, the manual way. If on a hunting scope it is the ZERO-ing.

I think Dean Massy is an experimental AI or a parrot ?
Why would he repeat word for word what I wrote ? This is the 2nd time, hence I took notice.

Conclusion
So, here is what i have arrived to at this point. I went to my local mercedes mechanic and he enabled the tourist menu that allows me to change the beam pattern, though it only *Flattens the Beam* it does not flip it. Never the less changing the beam diables intelligent light system on the center console (intelligent light system inoperative). So to sum up. It is not possible from my experience to flip the beam on the 2016 ILS W212 Headlights. What can be done is only flattening the beam using the tourist menu. Below is a picture of the tourist menu on my setup. Thanks for everybody who joined this thread. Peace🫡
