passenger-rearview mirror ...weird!

You know when you shift into reverse and the mirror drops to help you see the ground? ....now when I go into reverse the mirror tilts UP and in a bit! What?!! How in the heck does it "decide" to move in the opposite direction out of the blue?? Any thoughts on how to get it back to thinking clearly again? Thanks!

Put car in reverse, adjust mirror to your preference when backing out. You can double check this in the manual but I think those are the steps.

Edit:
See here.

Make sure the car is right side up.

The solderless DCU Door Controller Unit stores the reverse mirror position... that needs to be trained at least once initially.

Yours could be suffering from amnesia or sensor issues. A good OBDII scanner will give you good control over this module functions.

Interesting that the "DCU" would "lose" its previous setting. I hope it's a one-time fluke! Big thanks for posting that as I had no idea you could retrain it ...learn sumptin new everyday!
