W212 US to EU headlight conversion questions

Hello all - much like many of you, I absolutely adore my W212 E350, it has served well over the last hundred thousand miles with zero issues. As of recent, I have been looking to upgrade the headlights, which began with an assortment of different bulbs, leds, adapters, canbus error decoders and more. This has proven unsuccessful, and frustrating.

I recently found this product on aliexpress, two complete assemblies with integrated LED's, for a decent price

However, when I reached out to the seller, they are designed for the euro version, with 9 pins, pictured

My US version, has the same connector type, however only 5 wires. The seller was unable to offer a solution and refused the sale

I was curious if anyone had experience adapting this before, or if it were even possible
I was looking for wiring diagrams but came up short, and would like to explore the process of conversions to unlock this product for the US market

Let me know what you think!

unlikely plug n play

it's not only the pin out that's different, the light reflector is too, the internal ballast module may not drive any non-stock bulb.

The only way you're going to meet success is to understand the limitations and work around them if possible.
🤞

Good point, I believe the ballast is actually downstream of this connector - I just cant find a wiring diagram to understand what pin is controlling what, and I'm hoping to find a way to bridge a few pins to make it work

if its not an LED or HID, then there is no ballast, just 12V directly to the lamps.
