Will an incorrect leakdown test lead to A+ results?

Will an incorrect leakdown test lead to A+ results?
About to start the third of my 8 cylinders and the first and second I did both scored 99%+

Did not warm the engine first.

Am I on the wrong stroke to be getting such (too good to be true) results?

I am not a leak down tester...
double check you shut off inlet air before concluding nothing is escaping through old valves and ring set.
...more help's on the way ✌️

Have had a look inside your cylinders wall now plugs are out ??

No worries, thank you for your response.

I don’t know what inlet air means?

I have not looked inside the cylinders yet, but I will buy a boroscope after finishing this test and post the results.

"inlet air" comes from the air compressor.


yellow inlet supply line... outlet is black line to cylinder

I am not much of a "leak-tester" but noticed you have both gauges maxed out...
I think you'll want to dial the tool pressure regulator towards half.

In case this is your personal vehicle, don't risk blowing off the rear cam-cover plugs ✌️
