Command screen replacement?
So the Command screen in my wife's E350 cabriolet (I posted over there but not as large of a user group as the sedan group so figure I would check here as well) has started getting blotchy and was looking to replace, If I get one from a parts yard, does it need to be coded with STAR/Xentry/Monaco etc.... or is it just plug and play since it is essentially just the screen. I haven't upgraded to a newer Multiplexer and software yet, so it doesn't work on the current cars, but if coding is needed I guess, it is a good reason to purchase some new equipment.

What cause DISPLAY Module to burn up is the dedicated blower fan filter that likely got plugged up. Located between glove box and display: clean, replace or remove said filter.
