Do you recommend that?
I talked to one this morning and it’s basically a bumper to bumper.
They cover anything related to the engine, transmission and electronics.
That sounds great

Read the fine-prints to understand how things are excluded and what shop is going to accept to work for peanuts insurance charges - All that amounts to: ....
a trusted PPI is still what you need!

I do not.

- Inquire with your repair shop what insurance they like to work with... else no one will take repair job!!

- Insurance coverage is like a legal court judgement: it's only worth the paper it's printed on until executed.

A descently honest PPI prevents you from getting the short end of the stick.

I noticed in the video I posted here too, of the borescope. Even though the piston looks very close to tdc. Does that look to be scoring in the bottom half of the video?

These two pictures show honest stock wear... not vertical scraping with low compressions.

wear marks match oil cleaned piston
wear marks match oil cleaned piston

this translates as moderately increased oil consumption.

These cylinders are a PASS on 2 only.

You need to see every cylinder walls and piston tops numbered, not only the best lookings.
