Dang, Right Hand Drive car, ground wiring information kinda retard

My car is RHD, Right Hand Drive.

When I did my ground cleaning at engine bay region, including removing wheel fender splash shield, all was OK, because I never bothered to really verify their ID or which component they are for.
........ because the WIS is more for for LHD car.
https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...ving-them.html

When I was messing with my HVAC refrigerant pipes ( at battery bay ), I found another ground stud. This would be brake booster region if for LHD cars.
Possibly the elusive W16/5.

Today I was trying to find N62 Parktronic module Code 235, which is supposedly at passenger side leg room/kick-panel
Albeit WIS is showing a LHD car and thus the N62 is on the RIGHT side of the car, I use logical decision to find it at my passenger side, which is LEFT side of the car.

.

Yes, found it.

.

Below is what it really looks like, exact same P/N

I I checked both ground studs too. I did not remove the steel plate as I would only do more work next year, today I am just itchy. So boroscope would do for now.
Lower one with 6 wires

Upper one with 4 wires

-------------------

N62 wiring diagram stated that if my car is RHD, I must use U13 information and that the ground stud for N62 of RHD car is W15/2

Source : PDF Attached.

Okey, lets use WIS to find where is W15/2 supposed to be ?

Dang, that does not seems right. The above W15/2 is not where the ground stud with 6 wires is position wise on my RHD car and this WIS is a LHD car driver side photo.

Okey, let's find W15/1 then....

Looks more like it........... but why would the N62 wiring diagram indicated I should be using/searching for W15/2 ?

Now we take a look at the wiring diagram for both W15/1 and W15/2.
Let's start with W15/2 for U13 Right hand drive car.

Source : pe00.19-p-2800-97dae, Wiring diagram of ground cabling W15/2, W16/5, W16/6/ Model 212. Attached.

Does not make sense. The NIL in red are modules or device not available on my car. That leaves only 2 ground wires at W15/2, but I got 6.

-----

Let's use W15/2 wiring diagram but for U12 or LHD
Ooops, no N62 module there

Okey, let's use W15/1 of U13 RHD car then. Attached too.

.

Damn.... there is no N62, only N62/1 Radar Sensor Control Unit. My car has no radar.

==========

So which one do I use?...... follow N62 wiring diagram and use W15/2 U13 RHD ?
Does that mean I am to use W15/1stud by photo and assume that is W15/2

Blo-ody hell.
I can next year verify if N62 ground wire is sourced from the assumed/imagined W15/2 of assumed correct if for RHD car.
But I won't be able to track down the 4 unknown ground wires out of the total 6....assuming the assumption W15/1 is to be read as W15/2..... is actually correct.
Now I can only assume out of the 6 wires, 2 wires are for : 1st the N62 module and 2nd for the Left side hood latch switch S62/43.
Holy crap, why so much assumption ??

MARGINAL GND

Mercedes shared reference GND point
Mercedes shared reference GND point

This diagram is a clear explanation in itself to why shared GND posts must be reliable with low resistance.

What's expected is separate signal and power circuit... exactly the opposite of MB mixed GND.
Heavy gauge wires + plus skinny = clear No-No.

When shared GND gets compromised (/painted /oxidized) the whole circuit looses reference and goes floating above zero Volt based in current.

The No1 Rule is the electric GND must be singular and non-floating to be an equal reference.
