hanging parking cards from W212 mirror...

My wife has a handicapped parking pass which she has to hang from the rear view mirror when parked in a blue space.. Its really hard to hang those from the W212's mirror and half the card is hidden and blocked from view.

has anyone found some sort of extension hook that would improve on this?

We usually slide ours between the headliner and the sun visor, it can be seen from the front or back and we've never had any issues doing so. Only the very top by the hook needs to go in as that holds it just fine.My cars are pre-facelifts with two sun visors on each side, I am unaware if this is the same in the facelifts

I wrap a hair tie around the rear view mirror and hang anything off the hair tie. Its those black ones from amazon but just buy them at the dollar store. They come in pack of like 30 lol.

my 80s/90s Volvo 740, 780 and 960 had a plastic clip on the driver side of the A pillar that would hold parking tickets, cards, whatever against the glass so they were clearly visible. I really miss that feature on all the newer cars I've had since then.

I tried that, and the card didn't want to go in, but I'll try again. I know there's a bunch of cameras and stuff up there.

We always use a sunshade, and slide the placard between the sunscreen & the windshield. It slides to the bottom, but we’ve never had an issue with it.

Yeah, I stick mine in the lower left corner between windshield and dash when parked in HC spot, the rest of the time it stays in door pocket for easy access. I read the part of the instructions printed on the parking pass, "Do not drive with pass hanging from mirror, front view will be obstructed" So, after carful consideration, we no longer hang from mirror, Plus we use window shades and it cannot be seen while blocking sun from heating up interior here in the south. We've done it like this so long, it's muscle memory at this point.
