New to me 2013 E350. Horrible seats.

I bought a beautiful E350 last weekend and spent a few days getting emissions and plates done. I drove it to work and back today and am ready to dump it. The bleeping drivers seat causes so much lower back and tailbone pain after 20 minutes that I'm unwilling to spend any more time in it.

Yes, I read the threads about modifying the seat by bending the bolster wires out, but that's not where my pain comes from. Seems the front of the seat won't tilt up enough to transfer my weight to my thighs and, instead, it rests largely on my tailbone.

I'm beyond frustrated with the situation....just thought I'd share.

Look up local upholstery shops in your area. They'll be familiar with your Mercedes seat issue.

Some ppl love these seats, some ppl get pronounced pain.
I had mine fixed by the selling dealer at a local upholstery specialist.

THEN scan for SRS fault codes to make sure seat airbags are working before/after repair.

Ah man. I’ve been there.

About 10 years ago I bought a brand new mini cooper. The gas pedal for some reason wrecked my knee, it was like grinding cartilage in my knee joint and feeling numb. The seat also hurt by back, I even installed a manually adjustable lumbar, a retrofit oem part but didnt help much.

I sold it to carmax and didn't lose a ton, but really unfortunate.

Sorry to hear that , W212s' seats are not the most comfortable ones . An upholsterer could soften the areas where you find the hard .Alternatively, you could buy seat paddings at the stores . I know this may not the best idea but could do the trick for you
Happy Driving
