Wheel+Tire combo for s212 facelift?

Hi all,
Very much new to MB and car. I have been looking for a new set of mb (preferably amg wheel for my 2014 s212 sport. I came across this listing of a squared set up of 19xET43 wheel with 245/40/r19 tire used for 1.1k, off of a w213 2019 model. The tire were manufactured in 2018.
Is this gonna fit my stock suspension? I have the sport model and my oem sizes are 245/45/r17.

Thank you!!!

It "should" fit. Those 19 inch tires will be a full inch taller than your stock 17 inch ones and will impact the accuracy of your speedometer. Heres a handy calculator.

the 'sport' model 2014 E350's in the USA came with 18" wheels and 245/40R18 tires. It was the 'luxury' versions that came with 245/45R17

Wasn't it an option to still have the 245/45/r17 while having the sport package? Mine definitely has the sport steering wheel and front bumper and the sport package.
I have also done a bit more research, and apparently a guy in the UK tried the same thing years ago here: https://forums.mbclub.co.uk/threads/...oogle_vignette
And the front did not clear the suspension perch with the rear no problem. I have also heard that the sport suspension has potentially more room for the tire, is that the case?

the rear one most probably will fit, the front one risk rubbing with the bottom of spring mount. The correct tire for 19" is 245/35/19 or 255/35/19.

Btw, let me know if 245/40/19 fit, been thinking to increase the sidewall thickness for comfort....

Anyone have any tire suggestions for tire 245/40/19 or 255/35/19? Mainly looking for a quiet, comfortable ride while not sacrificing grip for some more spirited driving?

No, 245/40-19 will NOT fit the front. Front WILL very likely rub. Frequently. My front rim is 8.5 with an ET30. Confirm that your model and mine have the same wheel well and setup. I have standard coils all around on my 4matic.

You dont list your geography in ID/Signature. So, in general,....the 'optimum' 19 tire sizes for the E350/E550 mostly come in summer/3 season tires. There are so few all-season options that it may come down to a simple availability issue depending upon your needs and location.

The W213 uses bigger wheels, larger outer diameter, than the W212.

You're looking for mutually exclusive attributes here. Quieter, more comfy ride will be with higher profile tires, which by definition is a smaller rim size. Of course, if one wants better grip and "sportier" handling, one goes with lower-profile tires, larger rims. It's all a compromise, one that only you can determine is appropriate for your likes and biases. Of course 19s, 20s, etc are all the rage: great if one desires that aesthetic, but the obvious --should be obvious-- drawback is ride compliance and, not to be minimized, increase risk to rim damage because of the low-profile sidewall on those large diameter wheels! Folks discover these pitfalls after the fact, so if you're good with that, then cool. The fact that you said "some" spirited driving leads me to believe your bias is more toward the comfort side, but you must decide.

Staggered rims: just thought I'd throw this in since it's common to find used MB/AMGs out there: nice if you're ok with not being able to rotate tires. And I learned that the manufacture mileage warranty is halved on staggered tire sizes. This may or may not be a big deal for you. For example, on a sports car this may not bug ya, but on a sedan that you will rack up miles on this may be a deal breaker.

Tire suggestions are all over the place and wholly up to your bias of "sport grip" vs mileage. But since you asked, I have been using Conti ControlContact (America'sTire ...or Discount Tire depending on what state you're in) for three sets now and love em. Good ride compliance, quiet to the end of their useable life, and good grip/feel and not afraid to hustle through turns. But my wheel preference is the stock factory 18" but use 255/40 instead of the factory 245s. Ever so slight bump in sidewall that frankly looks better in the wheelwells, lol!
EDIT: I just realized that you have a w213 and mine is a w212 so that may affect the wheel diameter you choose.

Edward
