P001885 Code on 14 E350
P001885 Code on 14 E350
I have P001885 code on 14 E350, I found oil in the camshaft sensor connectors, replaced O-Ring and cleaned it but code still showed up after 2nd start up. Will replacing the sensor completely fix the code? The car only has 77k miles

"oil-in-harness" to what extent ?
Are all 4x CPS + Lambda sensors + ECU oiled up... ?
Your engine plastics likely damaged by extreme heatsoaks.
Reduce use of ECO: Engine Cut Off's!!
Upgrade engine oiling
Use sacrificial pigtails

Did you check your connectors at the ECU side of the wiring harness for oil?

I haven't, I will check them. I replaced both camshaft position sensors not too long ago and cleaned the connectors and the car starts perfectly every time with no code 10+ times UNTIL I rev the engine or put it into Reverse or Drive then the code pops back up and hesitates to start unless I clear it. Is this a good sign? Can it be the magnets that are bad or where should I go from here?

First step is to check if there is oil in the magnet connectors. If there was oil in your position sensor connectors, I would replace the sensors, not just the o-ring. If there is any oil in the magnet connections, I would replace the magnets as well, not just the o-rings. Checking the connections for oil is very easy.
Next step after changing the sensor for that bank is to change the cam magnet as well. If you change the sensor and the magnet, and you still get the code, you will need to remove your front cam cover and diagnose/replace from there.
