I know I can go into system and shut it off.

Yes, Facelift has a pair of programmable buttons associated with the rotary dial solderless module.
They are programmed through the on-screen menu options.
I have my left button programmed to GPS-HOME
I have my left button programmed to shut-off the display.
As far as Display it is a really HOT Module. It has a dedicated blower fan to cool it with a tiny filter that plugs up with dust....
I serviced mine by pocking 1x security-hole through filter media... dirty air being better than no air - Besides cabin filter is here to clean up ambient air supply!

The blank button set you are pointing to is also a networked solderless module dedicated to tranny Modes. S-Mode is best for city traffic.
